nov 16 2015 Governors across the country are scrambling to close off their states to resettled Syrian refugees in the wake of the deadly terror attacks in Paris that are linked to Islamic State extremists.

The list of states climbed quickly to eight by midday Monday, even as President Obama denounced efforts to block refugees from coming to the United States as "shameful."

Governors of Illinois, Indiana, Massachusetts, Louisiana, Michigan, Alabama, Texas and Arkansas — all of them Republicans — have said that they would not admit new Syrian refugees for fear that violent extremists posing as refugees might gain entry to the country.

Outta hold politicians responsible for these sorts of decisions. If the President wants Syrian refugees fine, let's stick in a radiating-out spiral pattern around the White House. They're safe and not extremists so that's fine right?

Governors of Illinois, Indiana, Massachusetts, Louisiana, Michigan, Alabama, Texas and Arkansas — all of them Republicans — have said that they would not admit new Syrian refugees for fear that violent extremists posing as refugees might gain entry to the country.

The governors of the separate states are charged with providing for the public safety and health of it's own citizens just as the President is charged with protecting all the citizens of the nation. These governors are doing their just diligence. I am happy to report that Florida Governor Rick Scott has also joined with the others in prohibiting the refugees from entering the Sunshine State due to the perceived danger to the citizens of the state.
