8 rockets slam into Israel AFTER cease fire

The IDF storm troopers were afraid to go into the heart of Gaza

The Hamas freedom fighters would have decimated them.

That's why IsraHell wanted a truce.
yeah, cause the bullshit that truthNEVERmatters is spewing had nothing to do with it

I don't think this is true. Israel's force may have taken some casualties but they have more advanced weaponry and technology. Israel was getting a bad rap for their Human Rights abuses and maybe even war crimes. This is most likely a PR move.
More and more people around the world have veiwed the plight of the Palestanian people first hand.

IsraHell is now seen for the brutal apartheid nation that it has become.

The ZioNazis have over played their hand and have come to realize they made a mistake.

What does this have to do with what I said. Both sides are guilty of human rights abuses. Israel's latest offensive should be heavily criticized. Just don't be crazy about it and only list the facts.

Few?

UNICEF: 300 Children Killed in Gaza By VOA News
14 January 2009

The head of the United Nations children's agency says 300 children have been killed during Israel's campaign in the Gaza Strip.

UNICEF director, Ann Venemen, says more than 1,500 other children have been wounded, casualties she calls "tragic" and "unacceptable."

Separately, Palestinian medics say more than 1,000 people have been killed during the 19-day offensive.

Israel has tightly controlled access to the Palestinian territory, so the numbers cannot be independently verified. But U.N. officials have said previous estimates have been generally credible. Thirteen Israelis have died in the conflict.

In Jerusalem Wednesday, the head of the International Committee of the Red Cross said the situation in Gaza is shocking. Jakob Kellengerger visited the densely-populated territory Tuesday, as well as the Israeli town of Sderot, which has been repeatedly hit by Hamas rockets. He called on both sides to differentiate between military targets and civilians.

VOA News - UNICEF: 300 Children Killed in Gaza

I'll assume you didn't understand that few referred to those Gazans who didn't support the acts of terrorism committed against Israeli civilians. However, the casualty counts come from the Hamas Health Ministry regardless of who is citing them, and so no one knows if they are intended to reflect the real situation or are exaggerated for propaganda purposes. The IDF has stated that the total casualty count is much lower and that no more than 25% of the total is made up of civilians of all ages and genders.

However, even we take Hamas' most probably inflated figures, since 56% of the population of Gaza is under the age of 16, we should expect 560 children killed, not 300, if Israel were not make a largely successful effort to target militants and not civilians. When we recall all the videos Hamas has released over the years showing children being given military training, we have to ask how many of these children who were killed were acting as militants at the time? Even beyond these considerations, if Hamas had built bomb shelters Gaza civilians could take refuge in while they were building hundreds of smuggling tunnels to bring in the thousands of rockets they were firing at Israeli civilians and the hundreds more tunnels they built under the cities from which they hoped to attack Israelis soldiers, perhaps the civilan deaths in Gaza would have been no higher than the civilian deaths in Israel.

So it is clear even from the Hamascivilian casualty figures you have cited that Israel has effectively limited civilian casualties in ways that were consistent with the success of the mission and the safety of its troops, but Hamas appears to have been utterly indifferent to what might happen to Gaza civilians.

you call it an offensive, i call it defensve

Is that what it means when Israel kills over 1000 and the Palestinians only manage 13?

Palestinians have always had the better PR, and thw world has always been more receptive of them. It does not change the truth.

I'm sure there were PR considerations, but there is also an election scheduled next month, and a lot of Israelis have expressed concerns about having the election during a war because that condition might have obscured other considerations about the government. Significantly, by declaring a cease fire, Israel obtained a Memorandum of Understanding from the US that promises US aid in preventing weapons smuggling from Iran or its surrogates to Hamas and Britain, France, Germany and Italy as well as others in Europe have pledged to join in this effort.

This is the most support Israel has ever received from the major European countries in its fight against terrorism and it not only serves to legitimizes Israel's fight against Hamas and other Palestinian militants but it mobilizes support against the larger threat to Israel from Iran. This last consideration links Israel's battle against Hamas with the US's efforts to contain Iran and the fact that this coalition of European countries will serve US interests as well as Israel's and makes aid to Israel an integral part of our own national security strategy.

World opinion is turning against IsraHell

This rogue nation is being seen for the fascist state that it really has become.

Ummm...There is no "turning." The world has always hated Israel. Nothing has "turned."
