6 In 10 Young Republicans Favor Legal Marijuana...So why dont Republicans?

That's why you need to watch it. You're completely ignorant and don't know what you're talking about. One of the biggest problems with morons like you is that you keep standing in the way of legitimate pharmacological development.

For me this is a MORALITY issue not a pharmaceutical one; therefore nothing the video could show would make a difference.

No, it's an ignorance issue for you, and nothing more. I repeat: They have cultivated a variety of cannabis that completely lacks THC and consequently has no psychoactive effect whatsoever. It's no different from the fact that there are mushrooms that you eat as food, and then there are mushrooms that some people take as a recreational drug.

To say that it's a morality issue is beyond stupid. Of course, you'd know that if you'd actually watched the video.

Oh! Ok... I'm for legalizing the Pot that doesn't get you high. And for moving up the penalty for possession of pot that does get ya high to the death penalty.

There ya go... make it so.

Glad we got that worked out.

Tell the Kids that the Swimmer worked that out for 'em.

At least we can agree on some part of it. Though I don't see how marijuana prohibition has done any good for our society. If people want to drink themselves to death, let them. Same with smoking cigarettes, or pot. Hell, I wouldn't be opposed to government spending to provide people with all the heroin and meth their little hearts desire. Hurry up and die. Sometimes the best way to deal with a fire is to let it burn itself out.

At least we can agree on some part of it.

Indeed.

Though I don't see how marijuana prohibition has done any good for our society.

It's kept it the use of it on the Down Low.

In essence, anyone can get pot anywhere... right?

Now, if that is the case, and it is as widely used despite being illegal. I'm thinking that making it legal is a colossally bad idea.

Much as the proliferation of porn on the web was a colossally bad idea.

I don't disagree, except where the Left demands that everyone must PAY for the consequences of people ruining their lives... . At that point, the issue becomes more the rights of those liable for it than those ruined by it.

Nearly two-thirds of Millennials who identify as Republican support legalizing marijuana, while almost half of older GOP Gen-Xers do, according to a recently released Pew survey that could be an indicator of where the debate is heading.

While the Pew Research Center survey published on Friday shows a 14 percentage point gap between Republicans and Democrats under the age of 34, six-in-10 GOP-leaning Millennials still said they favor legalizing cannabis. Seventy-seven percent of surveyed Democrats in the same age group held that view.

For those aged 35 to 50, the same 14 percentage point gap between Republicans and Democrats was evident, but the respective percentages were somewhat lower. In that age group, 47 percent of Republicans favored legalization, as opposed to 61 percent of Democrats.

As Pew notes: "The debate over marijuana also comes ahead of the 2016 presidential election, when both political parties are fighting over the coveted Millennial vote as this group of eligible voters swells in size, even if its members do not consistently show up on Election Day."

The survey follows controversial decisions in Alaska and the District of Colombia. They join Colorado and Washington State. Medical marijuana is legal in some other states, such as California and Minnesota.

The survey on attitudes on marijuana legalization by political affiliation largely mirrors a survey Pew conducted a year ago concerning same-sex marriage. It showed that 61 percent of self-identified Republicans under 30 favored allowing gays and lesbians to marry, as opposed to 77 percent of Democrats in the same age group.
They pander to the social conservatives and are paid by the tobacco lobby.
Um dummy who the fuck do you think will be selling the poison you want legal?

Hey rape laws are not 100% maybe we should get rid of them as well and save some money right?

What a fucking stupid thing to say. Rape involves an assault against another person. There is a victim in rape. There is no victim when someone smokes pot. Prohibition of alcohol was quickly recognized as a failure. Prohibition of pot is no less a failure, but it clings on in public policy, largely thanks to fucking idiots like you.

I do not trust the pharmaceutical Companies sufficiently to believe there is absolutely zero THC. Nor do I have faith that they can grow a version with cannot be modified back into a psychoactive drug.

If it's any help to you, I also don't take any other pain medication (Percocet, Oxycodone, etc....) unless I'm IN a hospital. For the same reason I won't use the MJ....... psychoactive side effects. I also don't eat mushrooms.

To me; even the chance of being in an altered mental state is something I avoid as much as possible. I don't even drink alcohol.

Go pay your dealer for yours. Leave the rest of us alone

A billion dollar black market exists, police, probation, the courts and jails all spend limited tax dollars enforcing a law broken ubiquitously throughout the nation, curious adolescents and adult users need to come in contact with a criminal element who peddle a source unregulated, and which can be 'stepped on' with harmful chemicals, and whose 'proof' is unknown. MJ is effectively harmless when used moderately, ingested and not smoked

What are the cost-benefits are treating MJ exactly like we treat alcohol?

Why hasn't tobacco been criminalized?

Why is Stephanie so stupid?

in a free society thats just fine. But in our current socialist society where we all pay the medical bills of the smokers, drinkers, druggies, etc. then it doesn't work.

I personally don't care if you smoke yourself to death, but I don't want to pay for your cancer treatment.

society is the victim, because society has to pay the bills.

if you want freedom to use drugs, go back to a free society where each person is responsible for his or her self.

One of the most important findings of medical marijuana research thus far has been the versatility of marijuana’s cancer-fighting properties. Indeed, cannabinoids have been suggested as an effective treatment for not only lung cancer, but also cancers of the liver, breast, andprostate, to name just a few. In addition to reducing the growth and migration of cancer cells, cannabinoids have also been found to inhibit the blood supply of tumors (angiogenesis) and modulate the immune response.

Great, I have no issue with using it as a prescription drug for cancer patients. But you are misquoting your cite when you claim that it prevents lung cancer. What the study says is that after it causes the lung cancer is can be use to relieve the pain. "treatment" does not mean prevention.

Blahblahblahblahblahblahblah.

Again, if you had watched the video you wouldn't be sounding like such a fucking idiot. You act like you have some kind of special wisdom, but in truth everything about you is predicated on willful ignorance. You want to say things, and you want to be justified in saying them. So you purposely refuse to acquire information so that the risk of what you want to say being wrong can be mitigated by your ignorance. You get to continue to justify what you want to say, because it is what you know, thanks to a valiant effort to know as little as possible outside of what you concoct in that bulbous little head of yours.

You don't trust who? What? Where? How can you know!?! How can you know even know who has developed this cultivar, or how trustworthy they are? Where did you get the information from? Nowhere, obviously. You don't have opinions or beliefs, you just have decisions about what you feel like calling "true," because you haven't the first clue what "truth" actually means.

I've got news for you.....You're living in an altered mental state 24/7. You're fucking delusional, and most likely suffering from a mental disease.

What the study says is that after it causes the lung cancer is can be use to relieve the pain

Evidence of marijuana’s cancer-fighting properties dates as far back as the 1970s. Munson et al. (1975) were the first group of researchers to find that orally administered THC could slow tumor growth and increase survival rates in animal models of lung cancer. However, research on medical marijuana and lung cancer grew sparse in the following years and has only recently picked up again.

Using animal models and cell cultures, the researchers found that THC treatment over a 28 day period resulted in a 50% reduction in tumor growth and a 60% reduction in cancerous lesions.

No, What I believe is predicated on one thing and one thing only.... Acceptance that Right and Wrong are not moveable or changeable things. If you wish to call that ignorance, fine. I call what you folks are doing IMMORALITY, and I do most truly hope that every single one of you who has ever been involved with that shit in any way endures every bit of Eternal Torture that you have coming to you for doing so..

I don't trust ANYONE. I got the only information I've ever needed from my own life experiences and the Morals/Values taught to me by my family. Anything else is unnecessary information.

Please don't waste your time responding as you will be on Ignore momentarily.

Nearly two-thirds of Millennials who identify as Republican support legalizing marijuana, while almost half of older GOP Gen-Xers do, according to a recently released Pew survey that could be an indicator of where the debate is heading.

Um dummy who the fuck do you think will be selling the poison you want legal?
Same with the oil companies when we finally go green. Shell wind turbines and Marlboro sticky icky baby.

Doesnt mean shell wants to go green does it kunt lips?

You need to watch this.

No I don't. I have epilepsy and glaucoma. Multiple members of my family have died of Cancer, including my father. They wouldn't have and I will not even consider THC treatments. Not even if it could CURE me.

The health of my soul is mote important than my physical health.

Your soul is in no danger taking THC. It makes you slightly giddy, but with no lasting effects, unlike many other treatments. God created this plant which is of benefit to so many people and you would refuse His gift of life saving treatment.

Would you refuse treatment with the latest wonder-drug from the pharmaceutical companies? Many of the drugs developed have horrific side effects. Chemotherapy is so toxic that people die from the treatment, but I'll bet you'd take man-made poison before the plant God gave you.

What fools these mortals be.

It's not illegal everywhere. Perhaps where you live it is but not where I live.

It's illegal on a FEDERAL level, so YES it IS illegal everywhere. Just because Obastard refuses to have the DEA kick doors in throughout Colorado and Washington doesn't make it legal

I live in Canada, so NO, medical marihuana is not illegal everywhere. The USA is not the only country in the world.

And yeah, medical marihuana is legal here. In fact, the federal government issues licenses to approved growers.

Sory, my definition of EVERYWHERE ends at the borders of the USA, because that's where the WORLD ends for me. At lesat in part because other nations are even worse in ignoring enforcement of even the most basic MORALS and VALUES than the United States is; and that's saying something.

then make it a legal prescription drug. I don't think anyone has an issue with that. But if you legalize it like tobacco, lung cancer and emphasema rates will increase.

and to cite something from a pro-pot website proves nothing.
