This country is honestly in as bad a spot as Greece was, but with much worse individual debt.

The big abusive covert government has ruined our economy and our civil liberties. No way so many should be this poor. $200 from bankruptcy? What kind of socialist hellhole is this?

A major reason why I don't feel any regret about shedding light on the abusers.

The number of Canadians who are $200 or less away from financial insolvency at month-end has jumped to 46 per cent, up from 40 per cent in the previous quarter, as interest rates rise according to a new poll.

A survey conducted for insolvency firm MNP Ltd. in December also found that 31 per cent of Canadians say they don't make enough to cover their bills and debt payments, up seven per cent from the September poll.

The results released Monday also indicated that 51 per cent of respondents say they are feeling the pinch of interest rate increases, up from 45 per cent a quarter ago.

That’s the culture in the US too. Buy a better toy your neighbor has and put it on the card.

Americans are worse off. I think the last I read was that the average American had less than a hundred dollars in savings.

But are they $200 from bankruptcy?

Canada has had I believe 1 rate increase since Trump took office, you've had 7. Why? Even a quarter increase hammers our housing market, which, is the most overpriced on earth or very near the top.

This alone will ensure our economic depression. They are now talking about negative interest rates in an attempt to make money basically free to borrow and put to use.

I don't know about bankruptcy. I know their mortgage is going up, though.

We're getting ready to have another 08 type of crash, though. We're still doing the same thing. We agree.

A few insensitive questions, if I may:

  • Do these unfortunates have cell phones?
  • Computers with internet
  • Cable TV?
  • Air conditioning?
  • Free healthcare for life?
  • Cars?
  • Starbuck's cards?
  • Children and no spouse?
Do they have jobs, and if so are they actively looking for a better one? Are they trying to get as much overtime as possible, or looking to supplement their income with a second job?

Did they take advantage of as much free education as the State was willing to give them?

I can give you one simple response.

Big overbearing government. We have a very good PR team though. Very good.

I know people literally making $100K+ a year with one year of a bird college course. Working? Provincial government, doing something she is not even particularly trained at. However, she's part of the kakistocracy.

In the U.S you have the haves and have nots. You can complain about them, but outside of a few niche professions, I bet government isn't the lucrative racket it is in Canada. It is, by so many metrics and persuasions; a huge reason for our downfall. So many "play the game" for that big piece of cheese, to hell with the future of the nation.

Big borrowing paying for overpaid government patsies who increase costs of living for everyone else. Future debt inflating todays economic environment. The best and brightest who graduated computer science leave for Cali when they realize they are getting paid less than the local garbage man...
