Lots and lots of goodies. But, where the hell are they going to get the people to operate it?

How will it be spent?

Not only will the force be expanded with 16,400 additional active-duty and reserves and a 2.6 percent pay raise be introduced, there will be a mega-boost in cutting-edge tech to help ensure the United States continues to dominate in land, sea and air power.

To replace an aging fleet?

Then comes the hype:

Remember when we spent $100 million to bomb a runway in Syria that was back in operation the next day? We definitely don’t spend too much on our military.

Defense spending is a jobs program for smart people.

And besides, it's constitutional so really doesn't cost us anything.

What a terrible waste.
You are ignorant and naive to believe that.
Right back at you.

War is a racket.

War is the health of the the state.

Americans used to know this, now they are duped for the ruling class.

ATTENTION!!!!
Are you a military expert? What makes you think you know more than the guys who actually protect our nation?
Read history. It’s all there and blatantly obvious.

Constant war aboard leads the tyranny at home. We are witnessing it first hand.

History shows me that the experts have been spending huge sums on our military for decades, under every type of president.

Including development cost the price to create this thing was $18 billion. It will cost billions more to man, maintain, and upgrade over the decades. All to take out 3rd world gunmen hiding in caves in the desert. Very efficient.

We have money for that too.
What? You mean all the lead piping has been replaced? Lead, for gods' sakes, for one example.

And your rivers are all clean? Good thing you don't waste money on that sort of thing. That would be madness. Much better to spend that money on killing people in other countries, the only sensible approach.

Besides, you're all right, screw the other citizens, that's proper thinking.

Military spend employs millions in the private sector, is great for innovation and keeps the country safe. How about we discuss $4.3Trn of entitlements spend, that creates zero jobs, is not innovative, etc.

Does your home have lead water pipes? If so, you should replace them with copper. Lead pipes arent safe.
