Whats funny about this is.......we seem to see it every decade from a new group of phonies. It has been predicted for at least the past 100 years.

The latest prediction is that 10 billion people is the max carrying capacity of the Earth, and as we approach it there will be famines and plagues.

Wait and see.

Flu kills a lot of people every year so make sure you get your flu shot.

Yup. A new disaster pops up every decade and gives the new generation a focal point to show how they can fix the world. Most kids come to realize it was more smoke than fire and grow up become less gullible, and more responsible adults. All part of the learning curve.

Indeed.....I was in college in the late 70's when this shit first started to emerge in the public domain.........before that, it was just a fringe item. Now the media jumps all over this nonsense and many of the young, who tend to the hysterical anyway, go right off the tracks when they see stuff like this. So much in the past 40 years have been about establishing the dictatorship of science.....put it under the banner of "the science says" and it is set in stone......in the minds of the young people who have been conditioned with this shit. Meanwhile, and especially in the area of climate science, the "scientists" have been wrong again, and again, and again and again. But that stuff is never publicized anywhere by the media. Its all part of the globalist agenda unless one is not paying attention.......unfortunately, we have too many out there not paying attention and are automatically duped when the moniker of "the science says" arises. The scientific community has become a bullshit industry over the past 30 or 40 years.....if you have been paying attention just a little bit.

To be fair to Malthus, he wasn't a doom-sayer. All he said, in his particularly Victorian way was ... a) the poor are having a lot of babies b) they can't support those babies c) if the poor don't stop having babies, nature will solve the problem for them.

Now that might, or might not, be a disaster to the over-producing poor folks. But, that didn't cause him to spill his sherry. He predicted no societal collapse because he saw this as an example of nature self-correcting another person's problem.
