Lot's of people want to live in cities and cities often have finite space for expansion and the population concentrations bring up issues with unemployment, crime, poverty, distribution of goods, material transport, disease, etc, etc, etc. And as sea levels and temperatures rise, particularly at the already crowded coastlines and tropics, the available space for population declines, including significant amounts of already developed area that will have to be replaced.

Every year Antarctic ice manufactures another layer of ice, found in the ice cores. Every year. How is that "melting?"
