Not a song I guess, but doesn't everyone like to whistle the theme from The Andy Griffith Show??

"Well, now, take down your fishin' pole
and meet me at the fishin' hole.
We may not get a bite all day, but don't you rush away.
"What a great place to rest your bones
and mighty fine for skippin' stones.
You'll feel fresh as a lemonade, a-settin' in the shade.
"Whether it's hot, whether it's cool,
oh what a spot for whistlin' like a fool."

OMG, H. R. PUFNSTUF...I vaguely remember that :)
I sure hope it was vague. ;) All the Sid n Marty Crofft potfest saturday morning entertainment stuff was a blast for kids who didn't know better, and adults stoned out of their gourds. What a niche!

Yeah, it was very vague. I recall the name of the show more than I do the actual show.
And I sit here wondering when and where it was that I was able to watch it, because my SF was very strict with me, I wasn't allowed to watch television, unless it was at night, when he was watching his crap ass western shows.
So I might have gotten a glimpse of PFNSTUF at my Granny's house or something

The Courtship of Eddies Father is a lovely one I sing to me five year old son all the time.

Except when he gives me a karate chop in the nuts.

And even then I would if I could breathe.

Okay, here. Indulge. Hell I might even get it for my "Ultimate Saturday Morning " collection of DVDs. I've a long way to go, but I have some true staples and rarities.

And no. Strawberry Shortcake NOR the Smurfs, NOR G.I. Joe (that was a weekday afternoon show) NOR He-Man! will be among the chosen goodness.

Amazed at not seeing anyone mention the following:

Sandford and Son (Classic Quincy Jones)
Knight Rider
Dukes of Hazzard (a great song unto itself and you know you can sing it with me!)
Airwolf
Mary Tyler Moore Show
The Dick Van Dyke Show

I mean come on!
