Yes it does look familiar. It's looks like all the other lame threads just like it.

Funny, with all this talk of us being a communist country, workers controlling the means of production is nowhere to be found.

What's funny is your saying it's funny and getting the point wrong. We say Democrats are Marxist because you believe in the planks of the Manifesto, and you do for the same reason that Marx wrote them, which is the planks are a recipe for government dominating a country in every possible way.
You hear that we are a Communist country. Can't even follow the most basic of points. I suppose it's rational for you to think politicians can take care of you better than you given your lack of ability to demonstrate even basic comprehension skills.

Marx said the community would control the means of production, not the workers. Checkout the 500,000 pages in the federal register if you don't think the government controls production. Also there's Obamacare, where the government controls 1/6 of the economy. Also GM, where the government controls a big portion of the auto industry. The government controls education, policing much of transportation, banking and numerous other industries.

Remind me again how all our industries are being ruthlessly nationalized and the owners put in jail, think I missed that part.

In time, sugar tits. It will all come to pass once Democrats manage to gain total power.

I get it, we are discussing your fears and fantasies rather than reality, as usual.

From Wikipedia:
The Communist Manifesto - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
1. Abolition of property in land and application of all rents of land to public purposes. (No Private Property)
2. A heavy progressive or graduated income tax. (We already have that)
3. Abolition of all right of inheritance. (Inheritance Tax)
4. Confiscation of the property of all emigrants and rebels. (Leave the Country, leave your money.)
5. Centralization of credit in the hands of the State, by means of a national bank with State capital and an exclusive monopoly. (Federal Reserve)
6. Centralization of the means of communication and transport in the hands of the State. (FCC and DOT)
7. Extension of factories and instruments of production owned by the State; the bringing into cultivation of waste-lands, and the improvement of the soil generally in accordance with a common plan. (Central Planning and Land Confiscation under the guise of "Saving the Earth")
8. Equal liability of all to labour. Establishment of industrial armies, especially for agriculture. (Military Industrial Complex)
9. Combination of agriculture with manufacturing industries; gradual abolition of the distinction between town and country, by a more equitable distribution of the population over the country. (Big AgraBusiness with Gov't Subsidies)
10. Free education for all children in public schools. Abolition of children's factory labour in its present form and combination of education with industrial production. (Gov't schools train Workers not Thinkers)
If someone were to say that the Communists have already taken over, I'd have to agree!

Wow, you haven't been paying much attention.
To start, financial Services, energy exploration, energy generation, energy distribution, automotive, air transportation, and ... medical ... are completely dominated by government.
No employer can hire someone and pay them what they agree to, they have to pay a government mandated minimum wage, for their social security and medicare, federal and State unemployment, they are limited to 40 hours or they have to be paid time and a half.
And the Democrats are screaming hysterically there's no control at all.
As for jail, try not following any of those government mandates.

Lax regulation is hardly the same thing as nationalization, but you knew that.

Undoubtedly an economist. After all, he's the progenitor of marxism, an economic (among other things) system.Marx wasn't an economist. He was a propagandist.
That's like calling a chimpanzee who pours paint on a canvas and then smears it around an "artist." Marx didn't know the first thing about economics. He came up with convincing sounding excuses for organized plunder.
He was a propaganda artist, but not in a way exclusive to his widely recognized role as an economist among his contemporaries and any modern expert in economics.
He is only recognized as an economist by those who don't know anything about economics. He contributed nothing to the field of economics.

"Lax?" Are you trying to be a comedian?
Funny, with all this talk of us being a communist country, workers controlling the means of production is nowhere to be found.
Conservatism is intellectually bankrupt, so playing on people's fears, especially old worn out fears, is one of the few tools in the conservative toolbox that they can go to.
Lax regulation is hardly the same thing as nationalization, but you knew that.

Not at all, if regulation was as draconian as people make it out to be we would not be faced with so many instances of it failing to prevent the wrongs it is intended to prevent.
