However unlike the EU or the European NATO there is no such united organization in Asia/Pacific, neither that in it's potential financially/militarily capabilities would be comparable to the EU. There is only Japan - the rest is mediocre compared to e.g. Germany, Britain, France and Italy - not to mention the entire EU. S-Korea got it's own existing worries and Australia is 4000mls away. and India has it's own existing issues with everyone of its neighbors.

If Russia wanted to, they could just hit the dozen nuclear, coal, and hydro power plants and water processing plants in the Ukraine, and the war would instantly be over.
