Science? In 2020, I had stores that would not let me enter without a mask on my face because I was a biological threat in the making! But if I simply pulled my sweat-rag bandana up over my nose and mouth, I was good as gold. Science! N'yeah! :smoke:

I still have a few high end masks, sealed and ready if needed. I guarantee you one thing. This time, I will not be giving CPR to any dying idiot, too dumb to call an ambulance, just because their family (also too dumb to have called an ambulance to take him to ER before he went critical) comes and gets, without any of the 6 living adult family members present knowing CPR, or any other lifesaving techniques, other than running to my house to get me, perfectly content to watch his lips turning blue, after he quits breathing and his heart stops.

High end mask? I kept a woodshop dusk mask in the trunk of my car if I went anywhere and needed a mask. Otherwise, I used an old, red bandana I normally wear for when out working in the Sun.

Don't go there. Not enough pain in the universe for the crap that is being manipulated between municipal/state and fed LAW ENFORCEMENT. They are supposed to be a team to ENFORCE the LAW. What a novel concept. LOL.

Some stores and customers were very ticky about wearing one. I complied, since my own feeling about masks is any filtration is better than no filtration, and if I was coughing out the germs, my sputum would not be free flying as far.

Yes, there was a story. It did not turn out well. He died anyway, even after 15 minutes of correctly performed CPR and then the EMS taking over and working on him another 40 minutes in the truck, before giving up and transporting.

Masks didn't bother me. The shutdown/house arrest part was what was ridiculous, especially since my area only had like 5 known cases among a population of 50K when they started here. That was a blue city solution for blue city problems
