When I was growing up it was cheap Japanese stuff. I also remember nickel candy bars and 10 cent Cokes from vending machines. You could also get a double cheese burger, fires and a Coke for less than a buck at McDonalds and on Sundays you could get their regular hamburgers 10 for a dollar. Of course the PC and cell phones didn't exist then. But exactly what does any of that have to do with the lack of Neon Gas?

There are just other things a man can do if things go south....If he has the skills.

Then again my formative years were before neon gas/microchips was much of a worry to the general citizenry. More of a thing early computer hobbyists/developers, NASA, and the .mil might have worried about back then if there was a shortage.

I did not even own a computer till around '94 and I managed OK.....Hell, who knows maybe it all going south would be a good thing and help unfuck our society. At any rate it would be a interesting time.
