Do you know what a fuel surcharge is? When gasoline gets too high, then delivery drivers put 10 dollars additional on the check. Or maybe even more, to cover their delivery costs.Lucky for me i have a Publix about 2 miles down the road, but it sure is hell carrying milk, eggs and beef while pedaling back to the house...Between the cyberattack and shortage of tanker drivers this summer is going to see record prices at the pump, but hey we can bike instead!
What will happen is people will use Apps like Instacart, Roadie, Uber, Postmates ( Owned by Uber ), Favor ( Texas base company ) and DoorDash to have their groceries delivered or the Store will pay for the delivery through those Apps like what happens with Favor and HEB, so people will not waste money on gas to go to the market...
