You'll get used to power rationing.
If you don't - then you'll find yourself in prison.
But, in the true spirit of The United Socialist States of Soviet America it won't be an inconvenience confined to Texas. Since equality means equality in hardship as well as in wealth it just means the entire nation's grid must participate in rolling blackouts....not just Texas.
As I said, you WiLL get used to it just as people got used to even the most politically contrived rationing of plentiful (some, not all) products during World War II. The goal was not to conserve scarce materials in all cases - some were rationed only to give a sense of pain to everyone and motivate them to work longer and harder.
One could argue that Obama is more socialist than was Rooseveldt but it would be a tough case to make. At least for now.
