It’s common for people to say today when contrasting our two major ideological groups, “Conservatives think leftists are misguided; leftists think conservatives are evil.” I, though, am different.
I know leftists are evil.
That is, practically speaking. Theologically speaking, I’m not judging their souls or inborn nature. Putting it plainly, however, and alluding to the reality that leftists have embraced evil, I will say they are so. I’m going to now explain how they got that way, too, and why Bezmenov was right: You will never, ever change their minds.
One more caveat: Because what’s true in principle is not always true in the particular, there are exceptions to the above rule. This is evidenced by the leftists who get “red-pilled.” Now let’s proceed.

Like many others on this forum, I have spent much of my life wondering why Leftists are the way they are. I find it puzzling that two people, growing up in the same household, with the same parents and the same schools, can turn out so radically different.
I saw, when working in Healthcare, extremely intelligent people, Doctors, Nurses, and Technicians who were bright, smart, like-able, and principled in their work, yet were rabid Leftists in their personal life and supported all manner of Leftist policies.
Most often prepared to violate their Hippocratic oath in favor of the Leftist ideology.
Rather than justice, we have seen the Left uses Law as a weapon and only comply to the Law when convenient.
Marxist-Socialist Democrats reject God entirely. Many young people have been deprived of a faith to fall back on, though there are indications they are now searching.

For adults, it helps to have some non-political standards. For example, a major inconsistency means that something is wrong. It’s worth learning (and rejecting) the basic informal fallacies, for example the ad hominem fallacy.
The genius of the scientific method is hypothesis testing. One steps outside of reason in order to test reason. Look to see if you are right. It’s an acknowledgment that human reason, while at times incredibly powerful, is fallible.

Let me first begin with defining one simple thing that you evidently keyed on, and that is the extremes are always bad, and your post was all about the extreme left, which has NEVER been in control of the party, contrary to the extreme right, who is in control of the party righ now.
What is wrong is Communism, which is what extreme left means and which is what your OP suggests that the left is here in the U.S.

Electricity prices are jumping because of all the data centers being built. Mine property taxes and school assessments have not gone down, well ever here.
When I lived in CA, we revolted over high property taxes and passed into law Proposition 13. Really saved us billions.
Violence is part and parcel to the Marxist doctrine. It's employed usually to gain power - think of Antifa as their storm troopers - and once they take power, violence is always employed to maintain power.
A few people "disappear" or die and the example is made.
Words but not actions. Make words seem pretty and by God even the left admits what it does. But where are the actions?
