100%. Complaints about bad service, bad food, dirtiness, etc are one thing.
Plus it is one thing for yelp to allow posts claiming racism, but now they are creating a CATAGORY to label a place as racist. That makes them responsible as they provide the label.

This is kind of like when the Kleins were nationally outed at Homophobes. People got on Sweet Cakes Yelp Page and swamped it with negative reviews.
Sweet Cakes - Gresham, OR
Specialties: We do homemade desserts and custom all occasion cakes, we specialize in wedding cakes. Established in 2006. I started doing cakes out of my house. It went from doing a few cakes here and there just for fun, then friends and family started to order them from me. We created our own...www.yelp.com
Yelp actually did purge hundreds of reviews from people who never bought a cake there, who were weighing in. Same with Memories Pizza or Masterpiece Cake shop.
Yelp could actually bother to confirm reviews. When a company in Washington gets in the news and gets a bunch of negative reviews from Florida, then yeah, someone should call BS on it.
I'm not a fan of Yelp... but they are actually getting a bad rap for this one.

Communities have always turned to Yelp in reaction to current events at the local level. As the nation reckons with issues of systemic racism, we’ve seen in the last few months that there is a clear need to warn consumers about businesses associated with egregious, racially-charged actions to help people make more informed spending decisions.
