No. It has to do with Progressives seizing control, the environment is merely their current vehicle.

If Harris managed to run a minimally competent and coherent presidential campaign, she might have been able to wield the considerable powers of the presidency in order to eradicate truancy from the face of the earth, beginning with the arrest and prosecution of Thunberg. Alas, she could not.
As a result, Thunberg’s recognition as “Person of the Year” comes at a time when she no longer has reason to fear punishment for her crimes. The remaining Democratic candidates for president have expressed no interest in bringing truants to justice. A day of reckoning may yet come for Thunberg and her fellow child scofflaws. But it is not this day.

A tack-and-tape sailboat with canvas sails has a low carbon footprint ... milling the lumber and harvesting the flax ... operations would be carbon-free but very unreliable and this time of year, in the North Atlantic, very dangerous ...
This yacht our darling little ugly toad is on is anything but low carbon footprint to manufacture ... and she's burning diesel to motor across, God knows how many escort ships and helicopters are running burning bunker fuel and avgas ... not to mention all the ships carrying the press ... then add all the carbon pollution to broadcast her day-to-day movements all around the world ... this is just another carbon-intensive solution to climate change ...
The sad part is she could have stayed home and sneered at world leaders over the internet using only hydro-electricity ... like my comment here today ... granted, there was an extremely high carbon footprint made back in the 1930's ... but these hydro-dams are still in great shape 100 years later and should last several more centuries ...
