As for why Jews vote Democrat, I can only surmise that as the more fundamentalist Jews, much like Catholics, have large families and doing so, take advantage of as many family benefits, as possible, that states provide.

The Conservatives main complaint is that "entitlements" contribute significantly toward our National Debt and would like to end them, as the original concept of the federal government was that the central government should remain small, with states taking care of the bulk of non-federal responsibilities.
Both Catholics and Jews maintain the belief that as their holy books claim that people should be fruitful and multiply, they should just keep pumping out kids like their wives were baby factories and in turn, that the government should step in and help them, if they have trouble affording the kids.
