If Clinton would have been elected over Trump, two things would have happened, that would have had very different results for the outcome of the economy during the pandemic.

First, she wouldn't have given a rats ass about whether or not the stock market would have continued operating on the premise of zero interest rates, and would have allowed for the rates to have been increased by at least 2 percentage points, which would have staved off rising inflation from the begining. A massive failure by Trump just to keep is interest rates at zero on his loans saving him millions of dollars.

Then, she would have been smart enough to shut down public interactions to slow and stop the spread of the pandemic, which would have only resulted in the economy being shut down for a year, which was going to happen anyway due to the supply chain shutdown from imports coming into the country.

Which would have also minimized inflationary pressure, by allowing ports to reopen sooner, off loading ships full of goods that sat anchored for months on end, because there was no way to unload them.

But because Trump only had is own interest in mind, and trumphumpers don't have the brains god gave an animal cracker, much less the intelligence to understand basic economics, much less global economics, and the logistics of import/exports regarding the supply chain. An entire year was left to waste, because Trump was in way over his head, and looking at the aftermath he created, was looking to get out, and blame it all on somebody else. which has been what he does his entire life.

Notice that Hillary chose a genuine centrist as her VP nominee, whereas Biden chose a truly shallow, awful liberal hack who had shamefully branded him as a racist in the Dem primary. Yes, I think Hillary would have done a somewhat better job than Biden.

This being said, I should also point out that Biden has been good on trade, pushed and signed a decent infrastructure bill, has not gutted the defense budget, has kept the vast majority of the Trump tax cuts intact, has expanded healthcare access for many Americans, has started lowering prescription drug prices by allowing Medicare to negotiate prices, has taken concrete steps to strengthen our alliances in the Pacific against China, has rejected the defund-the-police agenda, and several other good moves. I say as someone who is most certainly not voting for Biden.
