Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez got catcalled on the steps of the Capitol by right-wing comedian and self-confessed Twitter troll Alex Stein, who called her “Big Booty Latina” who “wants to kill babies.”
The Democratic Socialist flashed the peace sign Wednesday in the video as Stein trolled her but she was not amused over the stunt.
“I posted about a deeply disgusting incident that happened today on the Capitol steps, but took it down bc it’s clearly someone seeking extremist fame. It’s just a bummer to work in an institution that openly allowed this, but talking about it only invites more. Just really sad,” Ocasio-Cortez tweeted.

Conservative users on Twitter blasted the congresswoman for the apparent double standard.

Without double standards Progressives would have no standards at all. It is okay to harass a supreme court justice, but not her. Who does she think she is? Marie Antoinette? We know what happened to that girl, now didnt we.

While pointing out the hypocrisy related to the harassment of Justices, Fox News still took her side, saying that it was inappropriate and not political speech. They were wrong. It was very much political speech. She said that the reason people oppose her was that they want to date her. She made the discussion about her looks. He was mocking her and that is most assuredly political speech.
