WORST of the Beatles

I was a teenager when the Beatles made their international debut. They were wonderful! They deserved every bit of praise bestowed upon them. During Beatlemania I was sent to the war in Vietnam but when I came back things had begun to change. I still liked the Beatles but maybe not as much as I did previoulsy. In any case, I remained a faithful fan mainly because …. hey! ….. they were the Beatles! The band went through several changes after that and I stuck with them as much as I could. However, I look back on them today and I see that they weren’t always very good.

“Sgt. Pepper” Is considered a milestone in pop music but I don’t know why. I think it sucks! "Sgt. Pepper's lonely ... Sgt. Pepper's lonely ... Sgt. Pepper's lonely hearts club band". By repeating it three times it sounds to me that they were tired and just wanted pack up for the day and go home.

What do you think?
I love that lampoon of Beatlemania. A similarly named “band” was cited as being, “Not the original Beatlemania; but an incredible simulation !” Might have been on SNL?

The Beatles are way overrated in my opinion.
:uhoh3:

There is a play about the Beatles I think it’s called all you need is love, not sure, but the play has all the actors singing the songs of the Beatles,I was hooked from beginning to end,it totally rocked,I cannot remember one song I didn’t love.my fave is I wanna hold your hand,I could listen to that over and over a hundred times in a day and not get tired of it.

I'm not certain I ever heard all the albums. There are a few I don't have now. I recall the first few albums were mostly formulaic pop. They became more innovative, reached the end of what they could do together in pop music, and were done. Anything after that would have been repetition or more noise than music. Or I could be misremembering the entire Beatles history.
