For me to know and you not to find out.
My band did a performance for our director's uncle at the Elmira Country Club. Most of the members went by charted bus, my wife and I decided to drive it there. Everything went smooth, despite the deluge of rain we got, until:
we arrived at the Country Inn and Suites and found out they do not take cash payments. Since that's all that we were able to do we ended up in this filthy fleabag of a motel in the city proper. Don't know if it was lousy planning on my part or not keeping up with changes in hotel payment policies, but other than the fleabag, we did end up with a rather enjoyable ride back.

The only thing worthy of time in Elmira is the Mall.

Arnot Mall. I wish the American LaFrance company was still there. I would so love to tour that facility.
I don't recall if they were there when I last was in Elmira, which is about 10 years ago.

Dude, when is the last time you got a hotel? Of course you have to give them a credit card in case you trash the room. You can pay cash at the end but you have to have a cc.

This has been since the 1980's. You've never got a hotel let me guess.
