World’s largest “carbon capture” plant a total scam.

It was always a scam.

I wonder how many politicians made big money off it.

I don't think so. Did you read the article to which you linked?

The plant, called Century, never operated at more than a third of its capacity since it was built in 2010. According to statements the company made to Bloomberg Green, the technology worked, and the facility continues to operate as designed.
The economics of Century weren’t good because of limited amounts of natural gas coming from a nearby field, according to the report, and as a result, the plant fell into disuse before its divestment. It was sold off for a fraction of the cost to build it.
Total carbon capture capacity globally is approximately 45 million tons of carbon dioxide per year, which is about 4% of what’s needed to be operational by 2030 in order to reach the International Energy Agency’s net zero targets by 2050.
Occidental is one of the biggest investors in carbon capture and storage. It operates a billion-dollar complex called Stratos about 100 miles from Century. The Stratos facility uses direct air capture, which sucks carbon dioxide from the air to be stored underground. The company intends to build 100 plants just like it, Bloomberg Green reports.
And before you say "it's always a scam" you might take note that this was the work of a fossil fuel corporation.

A timely reminder , for me , how Deep State can deflect the Sheeple from more direct and tangible matters like the effects of the Never Ending Wars plilosophy .After having ripped them off for awhile directly and indirectly

However , here is a thought exercise result related to the consequences of utilising the results of such deflections .
The Carbon related scams are running out of steam as even many dim witted people are seeing through them -- your very Topic subject
Clearly the Israel -Palestine conflict is scripted and as such is a False Flag .
But for what purpose?

Perhaps :-
It takes DS a big step nearer to destroying the US for its own use .It will weaken the US via escalation to the point of formal bankruptcy and this will ruin the $ .

Yet at the same time it acts as a short term deterrent against other wars by giving the world its dirtiest and mostly filthy ever narrative from Israel and Gaza .
So , it leaves the field open to bringing down the US, but at the same time stops interference by scaring everybody about other conflicts leading to nuclear options coming into real focus .
Or, at least scaring the Gullible Sheeple into believing in such a possibility .

Seems a distint likelihood but Time will show .

What a great idea in the middle of an ice age

Going woke cant make money for fossil fuel companies any more than other greenies

Who pulled the scam and what did they gain from it?
Corrupt corporations and politicians such as Al Gore. They gain money from it by taking it out of the pockets of the poor, you fucking moron. What the fuck did you think they would gain by implementing their carbon credit scam, moron?

The facility was built by the Occidental Petroleum company, not by any politicians. No one else's money was taken. The facility worked precisely as planned but wasn't profitable because the field that had been intended to supply it came up short on natural gas output. So they dumped it. But Occidental is now planning on building one hundred other direct CO2 capture facilities around the world. The entire premise of this thread and all the mock anger the lot of you are spewing is complete ignorance and fantasy.

Due to government meddling due to a problem we don't have and if we did wouldn't solve it.

There was no government meddling in this situation. None.

We do have a problem and this will help. Now if only we can find a solution to the rampant ignorance.

Al Gore Sr. was a board director and AL Gore Jr. inherited his father's substantial stake in Occidental.

You simply don't get it. Are you really that stupid? Who ultimately pays for carbon credits?

The entire concept and market is government meddling.
