On its face it doesn't look too bad. The other form means that the top 1% of incomes who own 90% of everything get 100% of profits instead of 25%. Who should manage an economy the government or capitalists?

How can you read these statements and imply it remotely relates to our current economic system? Just because Glenn Beck says it is so, doesn't make it so.
You don't think capitalists make most of the profits in this country? 90% of the wealth is controled by 10% of the people. Does that look like most of the profit is going to the workers? Workers are working more hours and getting a lower standard of living. Meanwhile the richest 10% are claiming a greater percentage of available wealth.

Why is it that if some in 'USMB' who see anyone that remotely has a different opinion, view or just posting something that seems to be an interesting topic or observation, their first reaction is too start throwing spears and rocks?
I for one am a capitalist but also want those 'ole socialist' programs for those who are truly in need of help and do not abuse the system, Medicare,welfare,healthcare etc, so I guess that makes me a 'combo' doesn't it. As a U.S.Naval Air Vet, who worked his arse off since 16 years old I don't need some know-it-all lecturing me on some thread that I and others MIGHT have been interested in reading.
I see how some in here attempt to 'bully' others in these threads, and I for one don't give a flying monkey if you like me,my threads, replies, comments or not. I am here, and I am sure many others also are here to learn from others who enjoy discussing a topic, relating relevant URL's and articles that may assist us to better understand an issue.
I, as many in here are, post in good faith, not here to post and receive 'smart ass' answers, jabs and pokes from those that seemingly get pleasure out of doing so.

Well, I don't know who is PUTTING THIS CRAP in to your head about MAO, but just the day before yesterday in Florida an incident occurred while driving with my parents to the furniture store.

A guy next to us, motioned for us to roll down our window while in traffic at a stop light....he started ranting and raving about OBAMA and MAO, a bunch of illogical qand DERANGED CRAP about obama....I honestly was scared for my LIFE with this in his forties, man....expecially since Florida allows citizens to carry guns and we could not see if he had one in his front seat....

If it were not for my father rushing away from him and having me put 911 on my speed dial as this CRAZY RIGHT WINGER was CHASING US.....we finally lost him.

I was disappointed that I was unable to get his license tag to report him to the FBI and so help me goodness this man was certifiable AND WOULD KILL OUR PRESIDENT....

So, if it is Glen Beck or Rush Limbaugh or whoever fueling this kind of bullcrap....they should be aware that there are some certifiable nutters out there that will take their crap to heart and feel JUSTIFIED as this man felt he was, to have the president assasinated as this guy mentioned should happen to him.

The funny thing is is that the term state capitalism originally was used by the NAZIs and it resembles the fascist economics called corpratism where people own the means of production but have to do it the government's way so they really don't have to much individual control over it.

I find it similar to how we run our economy today where the government essentially creates laws that tell how businesses will function which is why the left wants tighter control over businesses so they can essentially run them.
