Worker slaughter: Thousands getting laid off. #MAGA

if you aren't willing to work at the market rate, the people overseas who are will get the job.
You mean the slaves in communist nations with totally different culture's, values, and religions will be doing the jobs Americans won't do for their slave wages in competition of ??
Something has gone terribly wrong in all of this type of thinking in the American politic that is beholding to the idea that the American laborer is the enemy now.

Straw, man.
Labor is a commodity, and the market us global - at some point it is cheaper to send the job overseas and ship the product here than it is to make it here.
You can strut all you want about the American Worker, but the fact remains - he has to compete with the rest of the labor market for his job.

Strawman eh ? So you ignore the types of governments and their ways of working their citizen's to the tune of destroying the USA to the point of getting us on a table like a floundering fish after it has been laid upon the table and caught in the net to be gutted ????
You know treason was once a terrible crime faced by anyone who ignores the American security, and therefore engages in activity that undermines that security and stability by way of doing thing's or promoting thing's that weakens the nation making it vulnerable to a take over.

Allowing China to by up thousands of acres and to buy out meat factories and poultry house's and etc is just one example of the problem. It got so bad that we had become a joke so much so that China was flying spy balloons over our country because they wink with one eye and keep a red flame burning in the other.

There are only so many moving parts for an employer.

With tariffs driving the costs of doing business higher, they can (a) fire people, (b) suspend hiring, (c) stop ordering certain items in the supply chain (d) cancel planned capital expenditures for growth, and/or (e) look for other place to increase efficiencies and cut costs.

Laying off people and not hiring new people is the quickest route, and we're seeing much of that. That's why profits/earnings are still up and the stock market is (currently) responding positively.
When customers suffer, so will their bottom line, you can only spread workers so far.

Yes. You beat down an argument I did not make.

None of this addresses, much less negates, to basic facts:
- labor is a commodity
-The labor market us global.
The nation needs to fix the problem's that are easily seen along with the fall out. The reason they aren't fixed is because to many shareholders and CEOs are in the game for greed instead of stability and the securing of this nation.

This is true.
All these companies citing AI as the reason for laying-off workers aren’t lowering prices. I find that interesting.

The capitalists like to think improvements in technology lead to lower prices. So far this has yet to materialize in this case.

It wasn't China that priced American labor OUT of the world's labor marketplace, it was OUR politicians. A federally enforced minimum wage of $20 is a non-starter when compared to labor costs abroad, not to mention the regulatory environment our companies have to put up with. Would cell phones for example be as ubiquitous as they are now if they cost the average consumer $5000.00 instead of $500.00?

How does the US eliminate the global market for labor?
It doesn't have too. It just deals with nation's that are compatible with the values and concepts we keep here. Europe is a huge continent that can sufficiently fill the orders along with other's

This has been going on since the early 80s. As far as your last comment about the price of cell phone's I'll just say that it's a straw man argument in regards to the bigger picture.

All technologies were made affordable way before we ever had the problem's that are being experienced today.

Using cheap labor abroad or here is just a way for the CEOs and the shareholders/oligarchs to get filthy rich off of the backs of the peasants. This isn't supposed to be in America, and the Clinton's and anyone else involved should be locked up by now for their betrayal of the American people.

That;s fine for the US - what about US companies?
How do you make them only deal with those countries?
We should have an influence power that incentivises them to support America 1st before behaving as globalist for their own ill gotten gains.

the issue here isn't the greed of the CEOs and the shareholders, it's the greed of the US consumer. Would you rather pay MORE or LESS for an item?
