Word of the Year

Christine Rousselle - The "Word" of the Year is an Emoji
This year, the Oxford English Dictionary has bucked tradition and named the "Face With Tears of Joy" emoji as its "word" of the year. Yes, a pictograph/smiley face apparently passes for a word.

A moment of silence for the death of language.

no.. It's the WORD that use to DESCRIBE that particular type of picture.. We could just all call them e-motions or some darn other thingy. I think "thingy" has been highly overlooked as a yearly winner..

Do they give synonyms for it??
