A winning college football team has certainly brought a lot of economic development to the community in which I live, so I wouldn't call that "nothing" by any means.

The only thing football does is take away from the educational pot of the college and increase the cost of tuition.

Also for the person talking above...Well, infrastructure is probably one of the few good things! Of course, I am laughed at for promoting it on other threads. Now, it does things for the community but not so much the college.
