Now people who jump to make excuses for politicians, that bothers me.

Unless someone can produce evidence that these tapes actually exist (and they've had plenty of time to do it), there's no making excuses, because it's just a rumor, not truth. The narrative is just propaganda, designed solely for Orange Man Bad, and end-stage TDS sufferers are required by their disease to believe all such propaganda, no matter how ridiculous it is.

You might as well be saying that people are making excuses for a politician with a shellfish allergy if someone starts an unsubstantiated rumor the politician eats live raw shrimp for breakfast.
