Will Obama or the next president get us into war with Russia over Syria?

Russia has deployed an air to ground missile defense system in Syria. Thing is we're really pretty much the only ones with jets in the air firing missiles at Assad. What are the chances this is going to spiral out of control?
Sadly had Obama enforced his RED LINE THREAT this conflict would likely have had a different outcome. This is what projecting weakness gets us.

No opinions? Russia is provoking us. Will a US president take the bait or will we wash our hands of Hillary's middle east disaster and move on?

Slim to none. We, like Russia, fears a global nuclear war.

Russia didn't escalate when Turkey shot down their fighter.

Russia is not always in the wrong. The so called rebels we back are nothing more than ISIS! Russia is trying to keep AAASSSSSad I power. While he is not a good man. He lead a stable Syria for decades, kept a cold peace with Israel and was not a global threat. He is better than anything else we would get with him gone.

They were right on Kosovo and Serbia. They backed the Serbs vs the Muslim invaders. Once again we fought a war for Muslims. Russia was right to back Serbia and we should have also. Muslims picked a fight and Serbia beat them back with a sledgehammer!

Yes, Clinton wants to destabilize the middle-east so that she can import more voters.

It's also easy to blame other people for the completely failing governance... war it is.

That is, if she wins.

I think that's a bridge too far. I think what she wanted was a quick strike success in Libya in order to bolster her "commander in chief" image for when Obama left. I can see no other logical explanation for our disaster in Libya. The man was cooperating completely with our demands.

Russians and Assad are slaughtering civilians and the Americans are spectators. They did the same when Israel pulverized the Palestinians in Gaza. Putin does not fear the Americans.

Is that what happens to your head when it's full of rocks? Just wobbles all around....

Are we possibly seeing the set up for a repeat of what happened in Iran when Reagan was elected if Trump wins?

I don't think Trump will win. But if he did I don't see anything similar happening. Trump views ISIS as the real enemy so he will applaud Russia doing their part to take them out.

Every military in the world fears the US military, contrary to what any of them says on tv or intimates otherwise. Reality is what it is, the US military could, if it had to, defeat all the others combined.

There is an odd assumption by some that America has to respond to every single challenge, or slight, or jet that flies close to our planes or ships. Notice they fly close, then they fly away, without firing a shot. Posturing is part of world politics. Rest assured none of them wants the US to flip off the safety and go hot theater-wide. Every time a US President is in the last year of his last term foreign powers get brave because a President about to leave office isn't overly interested in getting into a new conflict and they know it. Russia also knows as they always have that NATO is potent and that is who they would have to face if they started up with the US.

It is a no win situation for them if the shooting ever really started. They know this.

The Russians are not posturing in Syria or Ukraine.

Very true, but the US rightfully fears global nuclear combat with Russia.

Bottom line Clinton owes the Gulf states. The Sunni nations want Assad gone. Will Clinton be stupid enough to repeat the fiasco of Egypt and try to hand Syria over to the Muslim Brotherhood?

Who the hell knows? It was insane to remove Mubarak. It was even more looney tunes to remove Gaddafi. It's a crap shoot to try to figure out what Clinton would do.
