If the democrats believe that Joe Biden is their best chance to beat Trump, then he will be their nominee, assuming he's still walking and talking. But I also believe he will be asked or forced to resign shortly after Jan 20, 2025 cuz he's too much of a liability once the election is over. It'll be the 2020 election 2.0, he won't say or do much of anything and this time no debates. Besides, as frail as he is, he might die in office and a lot of people would castigate the democrats if that happened. 'Course, I also thought that 2 years ago, that Biden would resign then.

Trump did everything he could, against the opposition. To say Trump did nothing is far from accurate. Even when Trump failed at major legislation, Trump found ways to start building a border wall.

And more than a wall, having our border officers working to keep people out, is also a huge positive step.
