Will Alien life be friendly towards humans??!!, Remember the Alien.?Xenomorph.!!??

Any long term studies of the effects on this contact on the tribes?
No. There isnt any evidence of them being wiped out by viruses either though. I think explorers figured that one out years ago.

Since we are basically an invisible speck hidden in the enormous vastness of the cosmos, and with our incredible distance from other stars

The Sun is a rather ordinary, unremarkable dwarf star in a rather pedestrian region of space. All that leaves is this tiny dot of light in a rather unusual pale blue color uncommon to other planets.

This is us, as seen far out in space looking back at the Earth.

You obviously do not understand nor follow the history of science and technology. Do you really think all of the great classical music composers like Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, Haydn, Vivaldi, etc., all came up with their compositions beginning in the 1700s all together by accident? Do you think it was just a coincidence that right around the same time that Isaac Newton discovered the calculus that Leibniz was independently having the exact same ideas? Did you think that while the USA was secretly developing nuclear fission, that Russia just happened to have had the very same ideas? You really think it a wild accident that both Darwin and Wallace were both pursuing the evolution of species idea right around the same time?
These are terrible examples. The composers were influenced by the music at the time, so they all have similar styles. The US and Russia were developing nuclear fusion because now that atomic bombs were proven, they fell back on previous theories in the recent past about nuclear fusion. They didnt invent these things in a vacuum. Sometimes you are going to get independent theories, just based on the long history of mankind and the sheer volume of humans that the world has produced, but those instances arent common.

From the discovery of radio waves comes experimentation leading to their reflection and behavior. This leads to anyone seeking a military application to come to the same realization that detecting these reflections first sent out and detected on their return would make an effective early warning system. This is true in most every field because all researchers and experimenters are faced with the same problems whose solutions are all sought out under the same physical law conditions.
You assume that they discovered radio waves before they already had some other form of detection, a superior form. Assuming they discovered radio waves at all. Not every human discovery is guaranteed to be discovered by every other intelligent lifeform out there.

While the space aliens may be far past using radar themselves, they will certainly understand it and expect it as a likely technology within our grasp, as all future technologies are built upon a similar ladder of past developments.
No, they would expect no such thing. Radio wave tech is not universally known in the cosmos.

Encounters with them suggest they can control your mind and thoughts. Your arms have no chance with them
Weirdo fairy tales suggest that. I see no evidence of anything remotely close to telepathy or mind control existing.

...Must be why SETI searches the universe looking for other life out there scanning the radio band...

They're also using visible light band ... our atmosphere, and assumably theirs, is opaque to all other bands in EM ... if we gave the Webb Infrared telescope to them, they'd use the IR band as well ...

Didn't President Truman have a meeting with some of those Aliens after World War II?.
I hear there was some meeting with the Rosewellian aliens , and the Reptillian aliens, Where the Aliens wanted to find out about the United States use of nuclear weapons.!!??

If the aliens have interstellar travel, image what else they might possess.

Yes, I can imagine aliens that could defeat us. We are on the Earth, not a deaf star.

They'd eat us ... amino acids are the same whether from an amoeba, alien or human ... simple sugars are simple sugars ...

After al that distance, they'll arrive hungry ...
Think of all the plants and animals that we evolved with that are poisonous to us. We may be like nightshade plants or deathcap mushrooms to them.

I submit to you all, will all this search for Alien life be in our best interest.?!?! Remember the movie Alien.?!! Not all these Alien creatures will view humans in ways we can comprehend.!!? The Alien life form may not view humans, in the same way see them.??!!
“Two possibilities exist: either we are alone in the Universe or we are not. Both are equally terrifying.” ― Arthur C. Clarke

The Dark Forrest solution to the Fermi Paradox honestly scares the shit out of me.

They are HOPING that they might detect it, but they have no guarantees. What other option did humans have? We discovered radio waves and their ability to travel long distance, so thats what we used. :dunno:

Tomatoes are a Nightshade ... are you suggesting we'd taste like tomatoes to the aliens? ...

Yeah ... I've known a few Tomatoes who were pure poison ...

Some nightshades are poisonous so when tomatoes were first brought to Europe from the Americas people refused to eat them.

They weren't hungry enough ... how hungry will aliens be? ... hungry enough to set us on meat hooks and butcher off the edible parts ... just like we do tomatoes ...

Tomato leaves are poisonous ... albeit mildly so ... Bella Donna has additional poisons and is much much more toxic ... Potatoes are in that family as well ...

We only have a putrid taste to terrestrial animals, maybe we get lucky ... eh? ... it's just a numbers thing ... what other species larger than Cousin Black Rat carries a population of 8 billion ... so it's simple abundance ... we're everyplace in large numbers ... easy pickings ...

You presume aliens will be biological creatures but I very much doubt that. Unless they have faster-than-light drives they will spend decades or centuries in travel. How would we feed ourselves on such a journey and who would volunteer for such a multi-generational trip? If they come here I'd wager they are sentient machines when they arrive. They might want our radioisotopes for power but power is available from many sources.

We discovered radio waves and their ability to travel long distance, so thats what we used.

We discovered radio waves because they are a natural product of electricity and electronics and fundamental to the whole field of physics that many objects like the Earth, Sun and Jupiter all radiate naturally. We opened our eyes and saw what was all around us. Impossible to miss. And radar was an obvious application.

Then why did it take 50 years after discovering radio waves, to invent radar? Furthermore, why was Brittain the sole place in the world where it was developed?

Radar tech is not a universal discovery. Thats a prepostorous claim.

Then why did it take 50 years after discovering radio waves, to invent radar?
Because it didn't. All your claims are faulty. It was only about 20 years between the discovery of radio and the invention of radar.

Furthermore, why was Brittain the sole place in the world where it was developed?
Because it wasn't. Britain had a peak interest in defense due to the oncoming threat from Hitler, and it was the Americans who mostly helped them perfect it. It takes time to think up applications. When the threat from Hitler came around in the 1930s, by then, we had the understanding of radio and the technology developed to support an effective radar system. Radar is what essentially beat and stopped the progress of Hitler. They basically "faked out" the Nazis and tricked them.

But what about Paul and ET?

"Radio waves were first demonstrated to exist in 1887 by Heinrich Hertz"

"Radar was not invented at a single point in time, but rather evolved through various stages. The first demonstrations of radar technology, using pulsed energy, occurred in the early 1930s, with advancements and practical systems emerging in the mid-1930s. Specifically, the British physicist Sir Robert Watson-Watt is credited with producing the first practical radar system in 1935."
