Bro, we have people that dedicate their lives to observing ants!!! Any alien that discovers talking monkeys that fly in planes, is going to be curious as fuck about us.Curious? I expect that we would be far from the only populated world they had encountered, so far past curiosity.
Look how we treat "inferior" animals on this planet. Why would anyone expect a superior race to act differently? We really are a pretty vile species.Offhand just by looking at how some groups of humans treat the rest of humanity so badly that no, if people can treat people so badly, then I cannot expect too much from some alien race able to travel here from another star
Thats seems unlikely. Anything short of an alien planet destroying weapon will result in a war against a species on its home turf. A species that has done nothing but wage war for its entire existence. Humans are not to be trifled with, and if you are an alien enemy and you step one foot on this planet, you are rolling the dice. Some human with an AR15 is going to hunt you for sport. No war is possible. Any race able to come here from another star has as much power over us as we do a herd of cattle. Mankind presently cannot even nudge an errant bolder out of our way much less repel an invading race from another star.
Reality TVI'm not so sure what they could learn from us as they are likely thousands of years ahead of us in technology. And I suspect they already pretty much know all they need to know about us before even getting here from radio and TV communications.
Curiosity. We are curious too, that is why we plant electrodes on animal's brains, and boil plants to see what we can make of them.Bro, we have people that dedicate their lives to observing ants!!! Any alien that discovers talking monkeys that fly in planes, is going to be curious as fuck about us.
Some war. All of space is their home turf, they are already capable of releasing more energy than we have ever seen, and it takes us years just to launch one rocket to the Moon, much less have a space war with aliens hovering in orbit around the Earth, who may be able to simply move out of the way to avoid all our weapons.Anything short of an alien planet destroying weapon will result in a war against a species on its home turf.
Whats this "we" shit? SOME humans are mean to animals, but virtually everyone else loves them. We love studying and interacting with "inferior species".Look how we treat "inferior" animals on this planet. Why would anyone expect a superior race to act differently? Sure, they could wipe out the planet with some massive energy weapon, but then why even come here in the first place if they are going to just destroy the planet? If they come and attack us, its because they need our planet and its resources. They will not enjoy our resistance. Some war. TrueHumans have evolved extraordinarily more compassionate over time. Even our punishment of wrong doers have to follow guidelines. If it takes us another 1,000 years to travel around we’ll be better than we are, not worse. I think.
but then why even come here in the first place
The only reason humans have ever become slaves is because, they didnt have weapons. You arent enslaving a man who is holding a loaded pistol, and just because you are an advanced alien species, doesnt mean youre bullet proof. Bullets will kill any living creature in the universe. Nothing on our planet is even remotely close to being immune to a bullet. Do you have an alien turtle shell body? My Desert Eagle is going to rip right through it.Mind you, we have discovered literally thousands of extra-solar planets around hundreds of other stars and to date have not found a SINGLE ONE which was a duplicate of the Earth with moderate gravity, moderate temperature, moderate climate, and bio-diverse.
- To enslave humanity as workers.
- To use humanity as a food source.
- To use humanity for medical or scientific experiments.
- To rid the Earth of humanity so that they can have the resources of the Earth all to themselves.
The only reason humans have ever become slaves is because, they didnt have weapons.
I submit to you all, will all this search for Alien life be in our best interest.?!?! Remember the movie Alien.?!! Not all these Alien creatures will view humans in ways we can comprehend.!!? The Alien life form may not view humans, in the same way see them.??!!
An AR15 is just as deadly as a death-ray gun. Furthermore, they wouldnt be prepared for bullets at all. There is virtually no chance that this alien species had the materials for gunpowder on their planet, then one of them miraculously came up with the invention of gunpowder, then another came up with an invention of using gun powder to shoot projectiles out of metal cylinders. Aliens would have their own weapons, but they would absolutely not have ours, and therefore they would not have proper defenses against bullets.Or the other guy just had more and bigger guns.
Mankind stands no chance against an invading alien species from another star system.
Unless they are 100% benign and godlike with purely altruistic motives, they will be able to take us apart 100 different ways, perhaps without our even noticing, perhaps because half of humanity sold out the other half trying to buy survival for themselves, or they might just press a button and take us all out in one night.

They shoot us, we die. We shoot them, they die.
Humans will go underground. If aliens want anything down here, they will have to come down. You're pulling my leg, right? What makes you think they will even seed to leave their ships in orbit or will come down here to fight an ordinary ground war with them giving us any target to shoot at?
Underground, you mean like in basements and stuff? How long do you think you can live in a basement? And what if they topple the buildings all on top of you? Ever occur to you that while hiding out in our basements, we will be unable to stop them taking over the planet?Humans will go underground. How are you going to launch thousands of nukes high above the planet without any of them raining back down on you? And what makes you think nukes could hurt them if they can fold dimensional space in order to travel here faster than light? How long does it take to launch a rocket into space, about 15-20 minutes? What will you do if after launching all our nukes at them they simply move out of the way, let them harmlessly blow up, then move back in for the kill? Now you are out of nukes and have just irradiated the planet.I am curious though, what defense do these alien ships in orbit have against nukes? Did these aliens come prepared for thousands of nukes to be launched at them simultaneously?
Maybe because they already know our capability from observing us and monitoring all our communications. If so, why? Why did they expect such an attack from a primitive lifeform?
If they are monitoring us, its from a long distance. We would have detected them the first time they came to our planet. They would not expect to find intelligent lifeforms to be here, so there is no reason for them to be cloaked at first contact, but assuming they sensed from a long distance that we were intelligent and we had technology, they would study us through telescopes at first, maybe from Mars. If they eventually came in for a closer look, they wouldnt be making enough visits Earth to even understand what weapons we do or dont have, before we detected them.Underground, you mean like in basements and stuff? No matter how you slice it, if aliens come here from another star and are not benign and friendly, our goose is cooked.
