Why would a Door Dash or Uber Eats delivery person be knocking on someone's door with a food order if they live in a APT BUILDING??

Not the way it works here. Are you sure? Here they text. If you don't answer immediately, they leave it on the porch. Can't do that in an apartment building. They would have to take it to your door and leave it, but would knock in case you missed your text. Shouldn't that be the way it works? If they gave her the wrong address, how would she know?

I thought they called u to come outside to give it to you at the front door? I was home relaxing tonight watching TV and I hear this knock on my door. Then I said........"was that a knock?? Then I heard it again. I go to the door and open it and she is standing there with a McDonalds bag and had the wrong ******* apt. But why was she in the building anyway? Whoever she was delivering to was just as stupid too. They dont have a person call them on their cell?

Because they're delivering food..... Yes, bring it to my door and knock if possible.Thank you
