The fact is the Soviets would have run the place for the next 50 years without US 'interference', so suck on that a while. As for the oil, the Brits drilled and refined it, and paid for the railroads, refineries, and shipping, as well as the customers. Iranians got a very generous cut for doing little by holding their hands out. Same with the Arab oil states, largely just savage tribal parasites mooching off the West who would still be massacring each other and stealing and raping each other's sheep to this day if it weren't for western technomlogy and markets.

The British model produced nothing but conflict.

The American model was much more successful and they kept Uncle Sam at arm's length. No meddling in internal affairs.
