I thought the rules were that the mods wouldn’t interject, that all they would do is ask the questions. That’s what CNN did. Did ABC violate the rules they laid out?

They did exactly what you listed. 5 times very quickly they fact checked Trump as he blatantly lied. That’s nothing. When it came to the debate they questions were fine and each candidate had adequate time to answer and ask questions. Trump actual had 5 minutes more of talk time

They "fact checked" and missed it.

That is not their job.

Back in 2016 he could probably been on an even footing in the debate and able to defend positions or state coherent policy. Those days are gone. He is just flailing, trying to stay out of jail.

Trump blew the debate. Harris should have left black, blue, and bleeding. She didn't. Trumps fault.

If you don't want to answer it, you at least frame it to show how you might approach an answer. You need to demonstrate knowledge. His Highness Trump (who I am voting for) just can't be bothered to gather details before a debate.

And so marginalizes my vote....which really pisses me off.


Just as a thought experiment: What if that story actually turns out to be true.

That seems very unlikely as city officials in Springfield said there have been no reports of pets being eaten. It was reported a few years ago that food shortages in Haiti was bringing people to brink of starvation. Also a few months ago the far right was creating various stories of illegal immigrants eating dogs and pets in small towns across the country. Somehow Trump stumbled upon one of these stories and decided it was shocking enough to drive home his points on illegal immigration.

In the media and government we should not have to debate whether the facts are actually facts as this distracts from the discussion of the issues which is exactly what happen in the debate.

The fact that Trump has a long history of creating his own facts is a serious issue because this leopard is not likely to change his spots because he got elected..
