The left hated Bush because of two main things. One, the liberal left thought fat dumb and happy would last forever. They thought the good economic times would never end. They forgot one constant. The economy is cyclical.
The second and most galling to the left is Bush stole their issues.
No child Left Behind was one of those issues. NCLB was wholly left wing.
