Why the Left loathes Thanksgiving

History somehow disagrees with you.
the Iroquois destroyed several confederacies and tribes through warfare: the Hurons or Wendat, Erie, Neutral, Wenro, Tionontate, Susquehannock, Mahican and northern Algonquins whom they defeated and dispersed, some fleeing to neighboring peoples and others assimilated, routed, or killed.

*facepalm*

The Wyandot are one of the Iroquois peoples. As are the Erie. In fact, every single group you named is an Iroquois tribe.

They all share the same language, the same culture. But the "war" was not even of their own choosing. The French were highly active in the fur trade in Canada, but refused to trade in firearms. The Dutch around the Iroquois were not so picky, and often used confederates to fight for them. And each nation wanted to dominate the continent. Especially as the time you are talking about was the era of New Netherlands, and when

And do I even need to explain how the tribes were often used by Europe to fight proxy wars in the Americas? Like the War of 1812, and the Seven Years War? Because that was exactly during another of those famous European Conflicts that bled globally. The Thirty Years War.

They were not wiped out. It was the equivalent of a border war, where they were moving east. The tribes already there did not want them in their territory and sent them back home. And the fighting actually continued for around a hundred years, until after the English took control of Canada from the French. At that time, the attacks stopped.

You do not even seem to realize they were simply on the wrong side of a European war. Because the Iroquois were attacking anybody that sided with France, because the Dutch then English would give them things if they did so.

Allen Eckert has written a book about the Iroquios Empire. He does excellent research. It's on my list.. I might pick it up.
