But we still need congress to enact the $200b savings from DOGE-1.

My money would be on Trump giving that money back to taxpayers as a rebate, say sometime in the Fall of 2026.

$200B divided by 112M Americans who paid taxes for 2024 = $1,785 per taxpayer. Round down to $1,500 per taxpayer to pay for printing the checks with a flattering picture of Donald Trump and to make sure we don't actually increase the debt by giving the rebate.

Not a fortune, but a nice way to show appreciation for the people who pony up to run the crazy scam that is our government.
