I have no idea what you mean by "exclusions from this link".

Back before the industrial revolution, water vapor was responsible for half of Earth's greenhouse warming and CO2 for 1/3rd. Now, with increased levels of, CO2 is responsible for 2/3rds to 3/4ths of greenhouse warming. As for water vapor, since it routinely rains, humans cannot directly add water to the atmosphere. It we try, it will simply rain out. The only way to increase the amount of water vapor in the atmosphere is to increase the atmosphere's temperature. And, lo and behold, that is what we are doing with our added CO2. So water vapor acts as a rather potent positive feedback to CO2 warming. It is not a cause, it is a result.
