Sorry to start a third thread, but I didn't see any "reason why" in the previous two. CPAC is not necessarily the party establishment. I'm not horribly in love with all of CPAC, but if Trump was really trying to polish his conservative bona fides, I'd think this would be a good place to start. Assuming he thinks he'll be the nominee and the party will unify behind him, that is.

Yo, could it be he is not a Conservative? I say yes!

He's out campaigning and taking care of business. He knows what its like to work a real job vs these politicians.

The last "business man" we elected was Herbert Hoover. He was a statist and ended up as a disaster.

Trump is obviously a statist. He's riding a trendy wave on a cult of personality much the same way the meat puppet queer did.

If Trump wins, the movie "Idiocracy" will be a fiction come true.

Does it really do anything for him by attending?

Right, and now the national debt is $19 trillion dollars or $63,000 for ever man, woman, and child in the country, the politicians have done a bang up job. /SARSCASM

Isn't there any Democrats running and shouldn't we be asking why they are skipping their bowel movement lately?

he wanted to continue to campaign. or you don't keep up on the new I guess

Ronald Reagan skipped CPAC twice, both times because he chose to campaign rather than attend the conference. Trump has decided to campaign instead of speaking at CPAC.

Also, I just saw some news reports that Rubio is going to skip CPAC too.

Lets be honest. Trump wouldn't feel comfortable around genuine conservatives

Former Speaker Newt Gingrich (R-Ga.) on Friday praised Donald Trump for his last-minute decision to skip the annual Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC). CPAC organizers announced Friday that the GOP presidential front-runner had dropped out of his commitment to speak at the conference on Saturday morning. The real estate mogul's campaign issued a statement shortly after saying he would instead be campaigning in Kansas and Florida. “Because of this, he will not be able to speak at CPAC as he has done for many consecutive years,” the statement read. “Mr. Trump would like to thank Matt Schlapp and all of...

Trump wants to distance himself from the RWnuts because he knows they can't help him win the general election.

Do you HONESTLY believe a crony capitalist who funded the campaigns of the assholes who created the 19 trillion dollar debt and benefited from it is really going to do something to roll back the regressive policies his puppets enacted?

I trust the one politician who has stuck to his principles and has made NO FRIENDS in the den of criminally insane sociopaths otherwise known as the US Senate.

He's making poor choices then, because he lost KS.

The more I hear from Trump, the more I am convinced he is a democrook infiltrator.

Pete, everyone can vote for who they want. Isn't this system wonderful!

No. It isn't.

The republic was not designed to allow for the public to elect an executive that made bullshit promises and offered "free shit". Sociopaths like Woodrow Wilson and regressives of his ilk pushed for the 16th and 17th Amendments that allowed populist douchebags to get elected with media help by writing checks that can't be cashed. We have political whores and cults of personality that used to be exclusive to despotic socialist hell holes now in charge of the country. We are in serious decline because vapid rabble are electing clowns and rock stars who promise vacuous shit like "hope and change".

The Founders didn't realize that the citizenry would get dumber as time went on!
