Why is the GOP going all in on support for paedos?

I dont understand this approach. I do understand the desire to protect trump but it is such a volte face that it defies any logic.
Certainly not to any non partisan observer.
Our maga friends are reduced to whataboutery to defend this stance as there is no credible defence for it.
The clinton accusations are easily dealt with.
If he is guilty then he deserves to go down. Any reasonable person would believe that.
