Why Is The GOP Against Reauthorizing The VAWA?

Wrong lard ass, it's true. Domestic violence is down 53% since passage of the bill. I've provided likes to the source up-thread. Also, are you aware that 40% of all homicides against women are committed by their domestic partners? I guess I'll have to put you down in the pro-wife beater column.
No, you provided a quote of someone saying it's true.

I know that's good enough for a ragingly stupid little person like you, but normal people need more.

Too bad you won't provide it.
As a matter of course...NOR will the left about crimes against women in ISLAM that are real violent crimes against women.

In this country?

It's a FAUX issue.

"The National Crime Victimization Survey, based on projections from a national sample survey, says that at least 248,300 individuals were raped or sexually assaulted in 2007, up from 190,600 in 2005, the last year the survey was conducted. The study surveyed 73,600 individuals in 41,500 households. Among all violent crimes, domestic violence, rape, and sexual assault showed the largest increases. Except for simple assault, which increased by 3 percent, the incidence of every other crime surveyed decreased." - excerpt taken from an article by The Human Rights Watch

A new government report showing huge increases in the incidences of domestic violence, rape, and sexual assault over a two-year period in the United States deserves immediate attention from lawmakers and the incoming administration, Human Rights Watch said today. The statistics show a 42-percent increase in reported domestic violence and a 25-percent increase in the reported incidence of rape and sexual assault.
The National Crime Victimization Survey is conducted every two years, with data gathered in phone calls made to a sample of households across the United States. Due to criticism from experts in the subject, the survey's methodology was adjusted in 2007 to capture more accurately the incidence of gender-based violence.

What a twisted web...
One can only conclude that Dick refuses to condemn radical Islam because they share a common enemy:

The United States.

Dicky, that's your kind of "logic". Suck on it.
DickHead is just stuck on stupid...WE come to the conclusion, and move on. Dicky can now be ignored.

Nowhere have you been able to refute Senator Murray's claim, and by bringing up stuff from the final two years of the Bush administration shows what a grasping for straws nitwit you are.

You wingnut circle jerkers can flame all you want. But the facts remain the facts.

The bill passed the Judiciary Committee 10-8. The 8 nay votes were all middle-aged, white male, Republicans. The bill is scheduled for a floor vote, and the male Republicans in the GOP want to filibuster it, while the female Republicans want to debate it on the floor. Whine all you want about it being a political ploy. If it's a political ploy by anyone, it's the GOP to stop the Senate from having a simple up or down vote. They're too worried about having their actual vote on record, and then having to answer to it to their constituents, especially women.

After the GOP failed last week to amend the health insurance reform bill with language that would restrict the availability of contraception, in spite of Obama providing a reasonable compromise with Catholic Bishops, shows that they believe that the Tea Baggers will hang them out to dry if they compromise, like they're now doing with Orrin Hatch.

Fine. Just don't pretend that the GOP isn't trying to turn back the clock on women's rights. Even the women in your own party knows it's true.

Where IS the left on the issuse of the REAL 'War on Women'?

It just doesn't exist here in the magnatude as it does across the world...especially the world of Islam.

This is concocted bullsqueeze parroted by a moron as YOU to divert attention from Obama's failed record on things of more import like the economy...put a sock in it...seriously.

YOU are looking rather stupid. :eusa_hand:

It's like this moron. This is a bill in the United States Senate, not Saudi Arabia. Your red herring that I should change the subject to how women are treated on other countries, is just a cowardly cop out. I hate the way women's rights are violated in many parts of the world, but this is about whether the Republicans in the Senate will block a vote on whether we should reautherize the Violence Against Women Act. Are you really ought to try and keep up. Actions have consequences, and the phony excuses given by the male Republicans in the Senate ain't gonna hold water.

And where YOU fail. There is NO "war on women" in this nation.

It is the mysonginistic left that concocted this crap because the polls looked horrible for Obama with women in regards to the economy.

The women in this Republic will VOTE for thier economic condititons and how much Obama has screwed them up moving foward...and being reliant ON the government with welfare is NOT the way to do it.
