Why is American food so bad?

I often chuckle at the myths yanks have about British food. Probably because they've never been abroad. The number of Americans on the likes of YouTube etc.. that now live in the UK and Europe, couldn't believe how dreadful their American food was.

So I typed in, "Why is American food so dreadful" -

I have been in a lot of different countries. Some of the food is very good some not so much.
Americans rely a lot on highly processed foods or fast food. Both of which are bad and bad for you

Britts will tell you that their food is bland. American food is not. There are about a BILLION Youtube channels dedicated to trying American food, which always blows everyone away. People fly from across the world to try cheesesteak in Philly, or pizza in NY, or BBQ in Texas.

There is no country in the ******* world that does food better than the US. Not Italy, not France, no one.

Mostly because we are a melting pot of other cultures.
We have American Chinese Food, American Italian Food, American Mexican Food….all adapting other cuisines
Strictly American foods are BBQ, Fried Chicken, hamburgers, hot dogs and PIZZA

I have never heard anyone say…..Let’s go out for British food!

These people are fat and unhealthy ,

And believe their Doctors know and tell the truth .

Easy; an overabundance of meats of all sorts. No need to be creative by and large. In Europe I tasted many dishes made from food yanks would consider scraps. They aren't of course but using cuts of beef in "delicacies" when you can have rump or T-bone isn't really going to cut it with the average Yank when the cost is, well, high. Being of East European heritage I of course am very familiar with "Euro" tucker and I LOVE it!!! Same with Asian foods; I did Asian Studies in part at Uni and we had faculty "Banquets" put on by the Lecturers which were amazing. But again; making use of scarce recourses; PROTEIN!!

So I think at worst the yanks simply don't need to enhance flavour and volume; good tucker is all too readily available in abundance.

As for Pommy "fish'n'chips?? The cod was heavy and with only modest flavour compared to our reef fish like Coral Trout, Red Emperor etc etc. But as it was in Dover and the ambiance was "White Cliffs Pommy" it went down a treat.

And yeas; your brawn is amazing; not tasteless and chewy like our version.

There's the problem right there. American foods always taste bad to people who hate America and have no taste.

Been to the US many times, never came across anything special or fantastic. One time family there made cherry pie, but I don't like cherries so I didn't try it.

There is no country in the ******* world that does food better than the US. Not Italy, not France, no one.

Our seafood is fantastic, the beef sublime, the kangaroo a tad gamey, the emu is really quite full of flavour, and the mangrove worms are like a smooth version of oysters. I also am very fond of lamb, though it is usually hogget these days, while the pork is quite good. Our venison is very good indeed (feral here). Our croc is very much like chicken but FANTASTIC on a seafood pizza IF Estuarine.

I've not been to the US so I won't compare but I've had "American Style" stuff and it's been quite good.

Totally insane. America has among the best food. We are like Apple- we take others’ ideas and perfect them.

Pizza, tacos, Nashville hot chicken, sushi. It’s not just burgers, bbq, and biscuits and gravy.
