So, we've discovered the causes of cancer, have we? So why all the fund raising for research? Why not spend the money getting rid of dairy cows. Whole dairy herds can be bought and put out to pasture, never to threaten human health again. Keep the bulls away and these herds will eventually die out. Of course these must be cared for, for up to twenty years (with no income from the animals). I don't think there are enough vegans to patrol these retired herds and foot the bill for their care. And, whose land will be used as a sanctuary for these animals? Farmers who sell their livestock will still grow crops on their lands. Can't have a thousand cows tramping all over good farmland.

If not for compulsory 'days off' many would work themselves to death. Even with days off many are in a perpetual state of fatigue because they don't rest on those days. Sabbath to the rescue!

Not everyone can drink milk. Northern Europeans do best on it. Descendants of Israel, lands "flowing with milk and honey", etc. A blessing for them/us, not so much for others.
