In fact, Chief Justice John Roberts rejected an application for a stay that was requested by Republican lawmakers in Pennsylvania. The Chief Justice of the USSC publicly acknowledged that Democrats in Pa, in the middle of the election, violated both state and federal Constitutions and election laws.
The Pennsylvania Supreme Court had ruled in September that mail-in ballots received within three days of Nov. 3 must be counted so long as the envelopes are postmarked by Nov. 3. The ruling also said that ballot envelopes received by Nov. 6 that are not postmarked at all would also be counted, unless a “preponderance of the evidence demonstrates that it was mailed after Election Day.”
Again, Roberts denied the Republicans's petition.
