Why don't you want to tax the rich?

If you are opposed, why?

Why do you oppose aggressive taxation of people making more than $250,000+ a year or $400,000+ a year annually?
why would I??

if they earned their money legally then its theirs not ours,,

they already pay the majority of taxs,, maybe have the people that pay nothing step up and get a job and be a benefit to society not a burden,,

If those making those sums are 'aggressively taxed' what makes you think these gov't thieves won't aggressively tax you next? I like the idea of no income tax. Tax on consumption. Then the taxpayer has the choice of whether or not they will pay the tax or produce for themselves.

A good example is that of some of the Scandinavian nations. While they have social programs, they don't heavily tax the rich. Their reasoning is that heavily taxing the rich will stifle innovation.
China and other "Communist/Socialist nations that take from the wealthy, have to steal innovative products from the west then adapt them for their needs. There's just no incentive for people with innovative ideas. Profit on the other hand, is good incentive for innovation.

It’s very simple… Rich people have options. They can move, relocate, and take both their money and business elsewhere. Considering how much they already add to the economy, they could/would create major holes in the local economy if they decide tgst taxes are too high and decide to go elsewhere. This applies to excessive regulation on businesses as well.

Jeff Bezos' move from WA to FL is a good example.

Jeff Bezos's move from Washington to Florida has significantly impacted the state's tax revenue, as he was one of its largest taxpayers. His relocation is expected to result in a loss of potential wealth tax collections, highlighting the challenges of state tax policies that target high-net-worth individuals.

This is in the federal tax code.

If you make less than +/- 130,000 a year, you pay SS taxes on every penny you make. If you make +/-130,001 a year... you pay $0.00 taxes on money made above that amount. The very wealthy actually take home more money later in the year than they do in the beginning.

If we tax the rich, they will get mad at us and run away

The top 10 percent of US earners pay nearly 75 percent of ALL FEDERAL TAX. Just how "aggressively" do you want to tax them? We don't have a lack of taxes, we have a VERY inefficient and sometimes corrupt government that wastes a dollar for every dollar they take in.

There is only what is legal and what is not. If tax laws and rules favor the rich then it should be an issue with law makers who make these rules that favor them.or create loop holes that can be used to take advantage of paying the least amount for taxes wheter rich, middle class or poor. The rich do pay more taxes than other classes of people who pay taxes.

Its the lawmakers who create loopholes and the paid tax preparer does use them when doing taxes. I

I would not put a special tax on them, but would close loopholes that make it, so their tax rate is cancelled out. I pay, without complaining, and have most of my life, and still manage to live comfortable. They can too, and still live more comfortable.
