Flake and Corker didn't run again because Trump has totally ruined the Republican party. Hell, some people were trying to get Flake to run for President as a Republican against Trump. Flake probably wouldn't win back his seat in Arizona with Trump trash talking him in the media, given the type of Republicans in his district, but if he ran in McCain's old district... he'd win.

Corker went from wanting to be in Trump's cabinet, to trashing Trump and saying the White House was a mad house like a daycare center. There are quite a few people that either say they are 'old Republicans' (Meaning they are Republicans that do not support Trump), former Republicans, or have switched parties. All of which is because of Trump, and the fact he is like a bull in a China shop.

Tell me if this makes you feel safer. The U.S. has no Ambassador to the U.N. currently. Head of the Secret Service? ICE was missing a leader for awhile... The leadership of Border Patrol is a mess, there is an 'acting' Secretary of Homeland Security... there is ALL kinds of problems with North Korea and Trump hasn't even assigned someone to be the Ambassador to South Korea to help handle issues there.

This is all serious stuff, and what are we talking about? How Trump does things to troll people to get a rise out of his base.

That's a HUGE part of the problem we are dealing with now. So many members of some of the political parties are so brainwashed they agree with whatever the platform is for their party, and then want to ostracize any members of the party that think for their self and go against an issue their party follows. Reaching across the aisle and working with the other political party is what we need. Democrat Chris Coons said he and Jeff Flake are good friends despite them being in different parties.

Rep. Mark Meadows said that him and Rep. Cummings were good friends, despite them being from different parties and Meadows is white and Cummings is Black. I only mention that because of what happened during Michael Cohen's testimony to Congress.
