Why does USMB have a "Top Monthly Reaction Score board"?

What is the purpose of the Top Monthly Reaction Scoreboard? Does it reflect the total reactions such as thumbs up, disagree, funny etc? Or is it something more than that? Is that really important? It seems to "reward" most divisive posters and may even be an enticement for them to be even more divisive.
I didn’t realize it even existed.

They also have a “Featured Content” arena.

I’ve asked about it. But I’ve never seen it used.

Why, why, why... --> Whine, whine, whine.

See the pattern. Know the pattern.

Do NOT live the parttern.

Should be based only as a ratio of positive reactions to a members post count.

The current setup only recognizes the spammers and trolls that spend far too much time here.
Perzactly....Also that a something which really means nothing, means too much to certain people.

When I saw that I was ranking pretty high up, it was an indicator to me that I needed to go experience more actual reality....So I have done exactly that.

I made it once or twice when I meme bombed the Sewer threads.

Who has time to make
200,000 posts in a few years?

Misfits, losers and paid agitators.
I sometimes realize I've spent way too much time here. And have questioned my priorities as a result of it. But I keep coming back so it apparently is not without interest or value to me. But gaining reaction scores is certainly not my motivation to do that. :)

I never knew even they do that. Of course I only post on my phone.

The "Top Monthly Reaction Score Board" rewards the worst posters on USMB. That's not whining, it's a fact.
You asked why.

Then you explained why.

That's the real fact hidden in the woodpile. :)

The more a person posts, the more reactions they tend to get. The very top posters post nothing but drivel, but posting a thousand times a week, and they get more feedback than the quality poster with fifty or a hundred.

True dat.

I’m retired and have health issues. I enjoy posting and reading the thoughts of others (even the liberals’ posts). I tend to reply to many different posts in a variety of threads in varying forums.

I get a fair number of “reactions.” From most of the lefties, no matter what I post, I mostly get negative reactions. But, I frankly don’t much care.

I’m more interested in reasonable arguments from either side of the divide. Supporting “facts,” with verifiable supporting links and a sprinkling of actual logic are far more fun.

So we can all strive to be better shitposters. I used to be on the top for weeks at a time before I got a job.

The good ones are shitposters...The ones who have rigged the scoreboard (check the screenshot above) for their own petty aggrandizement are shit posters.

There's a difference.

It's pretty much meaningless, as it has been gamed for over a year by a little gaggle of shitlibs who've found a way to rig the scoreboard.

They foolishly gave away their game by fluffing up Lakhota, who hasn't posted since February, yet was propped up near or at the top of the scoreboard.

Even though they got caught red handed, they're still at it to this very day...The maudes and ownership don't GAF.

Correction:

I had, in fact, seen that list in the past. But, I had not ever noticed that it was a monthly thing.

Apparently, reactions count for something for someone. The top row are always lemmings, undoubtedly getting mass quantities of negative reactions. It would be better if it was broken up into most POSITIVE reactions and most NEGATIVE reactions, but Xenforo treats them equally. Also worth noting are the number of people who are never liked or hated enough to ever make in onto the list, period!
