Simple: they want credit for cramming their abortion policies down everyone's throat. They aren't satisfied with allowing abortions in blue states, they want it everywhere. Yet another reason why the GOP should not abolish the filibuster, cuz if they do the democrats WILL pass their abortion bill with 50+1 votes in the Senate as soon as they get the chance.
