Why was Charlie Kirk the top story for two weeks and the VIPs flocking to his funeral and the NC Boat shooting and the Mormon church thing already fading? It is because of politics, not "caring about the victim". When was the last time Mike Johnson had a moment of silence in the House for the people killed on any given Chicago weekend? It is all posturing, including the "caring"....
That's no way to be.![]()
Doesn't seem like the GOP led governments there with there 'Tough on Crime' is working...Democrats live in red states. In my red state, Democratic areas are the poorest and the most violent.
It's not fading because there is a lack of care for the victim; it's fading because we are not expected to mourn forever. Mayhap you are not fully versed on how most people mourn death. We are not supposed to dwell on it. Remember it, yes, dwell on it, no.Why was Charlie Kirk the top story for two weeks and the VIPs flocking to his funeral and the NC Boat shooting and the Mormon church thing already fading? Eventually, when the GOP starts caring about children being killed at schools, but they have not, they do not ever fly the flag at half mast fer the kids, just one guy named Charlie.Bingo!

Hmm. Methinks this political tribalism is robbing us all of our humanity. When we accept that virtually all of the violence is coming from left wing loons with an agenda -
because if we refuse to identify the problem, there is no way to cure it.
Nice posturing. The Mormon thing was TWO days ago yet people still be Je Suis Charlie Kirk-ing that was weeks ago. And so far as I know, there is still no moment of silence for the others being had....It's not fading because there is a lack of care for the victim; it's fading because we are not expected to mourn forever. Mayhap you are not fully versed on how most people mourn death. We are not supposed to dwell on it. Remember it, yes, dwell on it, no.
That is an unsubstantiated claim. When will the right stop bullying the weak?
No, the right makes laws to discriminate against marginalized human beings legally. A rather anti-Christian action. The right kills also but it kills people MAGATs hate, so there are no big pageants or parades for the holy indoctrinated. That is an unsubstantiated claim.
From my standpoint, Moonie, the Right doesn't go around bullying people by killing their most popular figures. Guess who did that? Yes, that's right, what popped into your head was "the Left."
No use denying it. The most egregious examples of political violence in the last 13-14 years have come from the left.
Not about religion either. No, the right makes laws to discriminate against marginalized human beings legally. A rather anti-Christian action.
Not very Christian at all, yet that is ALL you can think about is Kirk...It's literally a one-horse town. Not about religion either.
How Christian was it for someone to murder Kirk in cold blood? Hmm?
Oho. Don't make this about me.Not very Christian at all, yet that is ALL you can think about is Kirk...It's literally a one-horse town.
Twenty people a day are murdered in the USA where is yer compassion for them?
Oho. Don't make this about me.
There's a saying I hear often, and it applies well to politics:
"I imagine one of the reasons people cling to their hates so stubbornly is because they sense, once hate is gone, they will be forced to deal with pain."
--James Baldwin

Cease your emotional platitudes.Eventually, when the GOP starts caring about children being killed at schools, but they have not, they do not ever fly the flag at half mast fer the kids, just one guy named Charlie.
